The exhibition will show some of the best of the year’s work and is a fantastic annual event, so please do come along! The exhibition will run from 2-4-2020 to 23-4-20200 and we are delighted to once more be able to use the City of York Council West Offices as a venue (just opposite the Cedar Court Grand Hotel).
Just a reminder here will be an unavoidable closure day on the 12th of December as Danesgate is being used as a polling station in the general election.
We do apologise for this inconvenience however we have no option but to close for safeguarding reasons when the school building is open to the public as it is on election days.
If your son or daughter attends Ad Astra (Woodland Project) or Toolbox or Tang Hall Smart (Music) on a Thursday then they will have a normal attendance at these classes which will be running.
Our Kestrel groups which are based on mainstream school sites will run as normal on 12.12 unless the school they are based in is also being used as a polling station. Kestrel staff will confirm this to parents once they have this information. .

Just a reminder that we have to close the Danesgate campus to all pupils when it is used as a polling station for safeguarding reasons, so the school will need to be closed tomorrow, Thursday 23rd May, due to the European elections taking place.
Lessons at New Earswick Folk Hall, Bell Farm Community Centre and Foxwood Community Centre will also be cancelled as these venues are being used as polling stations also.
We will continue teaching pupils who are taught in the home or in their local library and any pupils who attend Ad Astra or Toolbox on a Thursday will also be unaffected and have their activities as normal.
There is one GCSE examination on 23.5.19 and this will have to run as directed by the exam board.
We have now been notified of 2 polling days by the Council; the 23.5 polling day is an additional one to account for the European elections. We have to close the Danesgate campus to all pupils when it is used…
