Make Your Mark

A huge thank you for taking part in the Make your Mark campaign and allowing the young people you work with to have their say.

This year, Make your mark collected 1,106,788 votes from young people across the UK, making it one of the largest youth consultations of its kind in UK history! The most voted catergories nationally were:

1st – End Knife Crime (196,897 votes)
2nd – Mental Health (181,691 votes)
3rd – Equal Pay, Equal Work (128,147 votes)

In York, we contributed 4572 votes and 35 Schools and Organisations took part.York Youth Council

The Make Your Mark ballot is supported by Local Authorities, schools, Parliament, The British Youth Council and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport. It gives young people across the country a say on what is to be debated on the green benches of the House of Commons by Members of Youth Parliament and this year Danesgate students contributed 45 votes towards the total!
