Job Description

The Danesgate Community is a specialist setting for 5-16 year olds with social, emotional and mental health needs. Danesgate is a very welcoming and vibrant place to work and offers significant opportunities for professional development for anyone who is committed to working with vulnerable young people. We wish to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Attendance & Student Support Officer who will be able to work under pressure and use their own initiative.

The successful candidate will work with the Pastoral Manager, alongside key staff and external agencies to provide an outstanding attendance monitoring service as well as fulfilling administrative duties to support and enable the best possible attendance and learning environment for our young people. The successful candidate must have excellent Microsoft Office Skills and we would prefer someone with Integris experience but this is not essential as full training will be given.

This is an exciting and challenging position, which would start as soon as possible.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration. Any information supplied will be discussed at interview.
